Sylvan Court, a new sheltered housing scheme, is being built by one of the south's leading construction and development business, Drew Smith Group. The new development is part of a wider Cold East Hospital regeneration project.
This construction is located in a leafy area and is being affected by extremely wet weather which has slowed down the building program. To meet the deadline of the building program, they were urgent to find a time-saving solution.
Richard Couchman, site manager, was swayed by the RhinoDeck system when it arrived on site. After recognising the system benefits and professionalism from Vision access and the RhinoDeck team, he decided to give RhinoDeck a try.
"Having experienced RhinoDeck at first hand, using anything else would be a backward step"
Richard Couchman, site manager, Drew Smith
Workers were amazed at how speedy RhinoDeck was, with the same area, unexperienced workers can deck out in just 2.5 days, compare to their original method on the tube and board access system which takes 10 days to fit out with the tube and board and another 3 days to remove.
With six footprints of the same size to deck out time over time, it would be expected that the switch to RhinoDeck would be saving days or even weeks of labour time depending on the building programme and weather.
